Sally J. Walker, President

Ralston, NE. Published credits include novels, stageplays. poetry and many articles on the craft of writing in national and international magazines. In 2007 she completed her 22nd screenplay. Besides memberships in Romance Writers of America, Western Writers of America, Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, she is a small press Editorial Director for The Fiction Works and teaches writing seminars. Mara Giles, Vice-President

Auburn , NE. New to the Guild, Mara is excited to be a part of its creative energy. Two time winner of the T.E. McGinnis Memorial prize for writing in anthropology. With backgrounds in philosophy and anthropology, her writing interests are broad, focusing on mythology, folklore, and human-interest fiction and creative non-fiction.

 

Lea Pounds, Treasurer

Omaha, NE. Publishing credits include freelance business news, non-fiction articles and guest editor of national business newsletter. In addition to the Guild, Lea is a member of Romance Writers of America, Heartland Writers Group and Nebraska Romance Writers. Her fiction work focuses on historical and contemporary mainstream/women’s fiction with a recent excursion in to stageplays. 

  

Connie Crow, Secretary

Bellevue NE. Published credits: 4 Romance novels (Number 5 coming in 2008), 4 regional awards for newspaper writing/layout, several non fiction articles in telecommunications publications, editor/speciality regional telecommunications publication for utility companies. Member: RWA, EPIC, NWG. Education: BA Accounting: MBA Financial Management.

 

Stan Struble, Immediate Past President

Omaha, NE. Publishing credits include freelance, novels, and articles. In 2008 Stan's latest fiction novel, Descent Into Xibalba, will be published in Spanish. Stan is a Family Teacher, certified Parent Trainer, a youth counselor at Boys Town, NE and an adjunct Sociology teacher for Metropolitan Community College.
