NWG's FIRST On-line Writing Course

How an On-Line Class  Works:

Once payment is confirmed, course attendees will be added to an exclusive Yahoo list and receive all lessons and group postings to that list at the internet e-mail address they provide.  Two weeks after the concluding date of the class, all names and e-mail addresses will be removed from the NWGWorkshop list.

Course Title:

"Painfree Synopsis Writing"

Course Description:

The first few pages of a manuscript will demonstrate writing ability, but the synopsis of a novel or screenplay will sell the story.  Why?  It must depict the driving force of a 400-page novel or a 100-page screenplay in 500-700 words for harried editors, producers, agents.  It must answer the vital question of "Can this writer deliver premise, beginning-middle-ending and character appeal?" Yes, synopsis is that important, BUT not a writer alive enjoys writing a summary of what has taken them weeks, months, years to create.

Let experienced Teacher-Novelist-Screenwriter Sally Walker walk you through her 8-session/4-week program that will give you the tools to make your synopsis a vivid signature of your storytelling ability.  Short lectures will be posted on-line to the closed Yahoo list twice a week with succinct assignments/practice exercises and lots of feedback.  Sally will keep you motivated until the process becomes painfree.
